Tigers News · Seating Capacities at B-E HS Home Events will be limited

To our B-EHS Students, Staff, Parents, Alumni, Community Members, and other spectators,

Please do your part to help keep our student-athletes, coaching staff, and event personnel safe!

In accordance with the Governor’s guidance, in coordination with the Washington State Department of Health, schools are only allowed a maximum of 200 total individuals in our facilities. This includes Gymnasium, Fieldhouse, and our Football Stadium. With the guidance outlined in Phase 2, schools must limit the number of people in attendance at home events. The Northwest Conference has determined that this will be limited to the following:

  • Home Rosters as deemed necessary, by our head coaches. This includes Coaching Staff, athletes, cheerleaders, athletic trainers, and statisticians. Teams cannot bring parents along to fill the spots unless they are assigned duty on the team and are recognized by the athletic department.
  • Other personnel-related to game operations, including Clock operators (3), Announcer, Spotters (2), Officials (5) , Administration Supervision (2-3), Event Staff (2-5), and Media:
  • Opponent rosters are limited up to the following defined numbers when traveling to a site. Opponents’ athletic department will notify the home team if the numbers will not be used up to the amount allotted.
  • Football (up to 75) this number includes Coaching Staff, athletes, cheerleaders, athletic trainers, and statisticians. Teams cannot bring parents along to fill the spots unless they are assigned duty on the team and are recognized by the athletic department.
  • Volleyball (up to 45) this number includes Coaching Staff, athletes (includes Varsity, JV, C), cheerleaders, athletic trainers, and statisticians. Teams cannot bring parents along to fill the spots unless they are assigned duty on the team and are recognized by the athletic department.
  • Soccer (up to 50) this number includes Coaching Staff, athletes (includes Varsity and JV), cheerleaders, athletic trainers, and statisticians. Teams cannot bring parents along to fill the spots unless they are assigned duty on the team and are recognized by the athletic department.
  • Swimming is limited to the number allowed within each swim facility per their guidelines. (Up to 24 at Skagit YMCA)
  • Cross Country is not allowed to have any spectators in Phase 1, in Phase 2, they will be limited by the same maximum number of 200 people. There cannot be any crowding in and around the starting and finish lines.

Once the above numbers are determined for our home contest, then the remaining number of entries for our home event will be opened to the following groups in order as listed below, again determined by the Northwest Conference Athletic Directors.

  1. Senior Parents-to include both Football and Cheerleading
  2. Seniors at B-EHS student body.
  3. Junior Parents-to include both Football and Cheerleading
  4. Juniors at B-EHS student body.

We will continue to follow this pattern to fill our facilities to maximum capacity.

Everyone must adhere to the safety guidelines and protocols of wearing a mask, washing their hands, staying socially distant, and completing attestations prior to an entry to any event. If parents and/or students are allowed into the event, there will be no admission cost to attend.

An example of how a home contest will work:

SPORT GROUPS NUMBERS*
FOOTBALL HOME TEAM PERSONNEL 75
OPPONENTS PERSONNEL 75
EVENT PERSONNEL 20
TOTAL 170
# OF ENTRIES LEFT FOR 30*
SENIOR PARENTS AND/OR
SENIOR STUDENT BODY
TOTAL 200

*Note these numbers can be adjusted if the Home Team and Opponents do not bring up to their allotted number!!

We have cameras installed both in our Main Gym and out on Kirkby Field for spectators to watch with a subscription through the NFHS Network.  We will be posting that information through our website, social media outlets including our coaching staff outlets.  Currently, we are having some difficulty with the networking with the cameras and the NFHS Network.  We hope to have everything operational prior to our first home events.

Please hold off on subscribing until we give the go ahead after we are up and operational.  But here is the link
